English Tuition Services

I offer help to both students of English and teachers of English.

For students I can help with tuition at all levels and in most contexts.

For foreign students I offer English as a Second Language (ESL) tuition. This includes: (click here for more)

  • General English (for travel)
  • Business English
  • Academic English
  • Examinations Preparation (Cambridge, IELTS etc)
  • Technical English (engineering, science, medical etc)
  • Aviation English - for pilots, support staff and technical staff.

For native speakers I offer coaching to improve their written and spoken language skills.  Contact me for more information.

For teachers, particularly ESL teachers, I offer hints and guidance to improve their teaching techniques.   I also offer help understanding some aspects of the English language so as to assist in teaching and learning.  (click here for more)

The English Language Project.  For both teachers and students I am developing a series of lessons on the English language.  Initially focussing on grammar, this project inevitably touches on the history of the language and development of vocabulary and pronunciation.  It references on works by other writers, and includes ideas passed on by other teachers.  (click here for more)

The Australian ABC website has recently come alive with brilliant content for language learning and general interest.  Several programs have downloadable audio and transcripts. Click here for more (combined listening and reading).

Online Resources matching Headway Elementary

I am currently building an index of online resources designed to match the Headway New Elementary WorkBook. It is part of a project to enhance self study and promote independent learning. Download the word document here (in progress).

I hope to do something similar for a range of courseware.
